Nathan Coulter joined GBSR Attorneys as an associate attorney in 2016, after graduating from the University of Richmond School of Law. Nathan received his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary in 2012. Nathan is a born litigator whose practice focuses on estate planning, including wills, trusts, advance medical directives, and power of attorneys. He has a strong background in family law, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and property distribution that makes him uniquely situated to provide his clients with estate planning that considers a range of factors well beyond the typical “what happens to my property when I die” scenarios. Few people find planning for death, substantial changes in income, or divorce to be an enjoyable experience, and that’s why Nathan and the attorneys at GBSR are here to help, to provide solutions to current dilemas and comprehensive planning to avoid future problems.

As the son of a mechanic and a nurse, Nathan is no stranger to hard work and he understands the value of other people’s time and money. He prides himself on his efficiency and the ability to deliver timely results. Practicing primarily estate planning and litigation, Nathan fully appreciates how difficult the legal process can be on the client and the client’s family. Consequently, Nathan believes in the importance of keeping clients informed and involved, and in being a responsible steward of the resources clients trust him with.

Nathan is a Virginia native who was raised in Harrisonburg. In his free time, Nathan enjoys reading, playing guitar, and fixing all manner of broken things.
